Cadillac livery makes track debut

NEWS STORY
09/02/2026

Following its official during the Super Bowl, Cadillac's 2026 livery made its track debut during a promotional filming day at the Bahrain International Circuit.

While the TV commercial showcased a fresh and innovative approach to engaging with new audiences in the United States and across the globe, the team has taken the next step in its debut season by running its 2026 livery on track for the first time.

Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas shared driving duties to show off the striking new design as team partners - TWG AI, Claro, IFS, Jim Beam, Tenneco, and Tommy Hilfiger - also made their first on-track debuts with the team.

The American now turns its attention to the upcoming pre-season tests in Bahrain, taking place on February 11-13 and 18-20 respectively, before heading to Melbourne for its inaugural race at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix.

"Yesterday and today mark another important step in the team's Formula 1 journey," said Sergio Perez. "Launching our livery for the season is a special moment for everyone involved because it really highlights the level of effort being put in to push the boundaries as we enter the sport for the first time. We now have a great opportunity to build on this momentum across the upcoming Bahrain tests as we keep learning more about what the car is capable of. I know our fans will be cheering for us as we go racing in this livery and continue our journey together."

"To go from revealing our livery at the Super Bowl to running it on track almost immediately after is an impressive way to launch our first season," added Valtteri Bottas. "It makes everything feel very real and it's exciting to see all the hard work come to life. The team has done an incredible job designing the first-ever Cadillac Formula 1 Team livery. We're now fully focused on maximizing every lap during pre-season testing to understand the car's package to put us in the best position possible to hit the ground running in Melbourne. I can't wait for fans to see the car on track and to have their support behind us. I'm proud to represent the team as we edge closer to going racing."

"It's been a bold and exciting way to launch as a team," said Guanyu Zhou. "We have an eye-catching livery that defines the team with the black and white dual colour scheme. It's amazing to be a part of what we're building and supporting the team in my role. I'm looking forward to what's to come as we focus on our preparations with the upcoming Bahrain Tests before heading to Australia for the season opener."

Looking at this and some of the other recent 'reveals', were this football - soccer to our American friends - Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham would be busy telling their fans about what colour shirts their teams will be wearing as opposed to naming the actual players they will be fielding. Indeed, the 2026 Cadillac has yet to be designated a model number.

If ever there was a case of style over substance...
